REAL ESTATE COMMISSION RULES MANDATE THE 2020 ANNUAL COMMISSION UPDATE COURSE MUST BE COMPLETED BY MIDNIGHT DECEMBER 31, 2020
This is the current version of the Colorado Real Estate Commission Update Class required to be taken annually by all Colorado real estate licensees. The accredited class will reward 4 credit hours towards license renewal.It is presented in streaming video format by real estate attorney and member of the Colorado DIvision of Real Estate Forms Committee and Education Committee Damian Cox. Mr Cox's presentation and experience makes this class the authoritative source on new Division rules and regulations and changes to the Real Estate Commission approved contracts.
IMPORTANT NOTE - Please do not procrastinate. The Colorado Real Estate Commission mandates the Commission Update class must be completed by Dec 31 in the year of enrollment. They are inflexible about this requirement, there are no exceptions.

Instructor - Peter E. Muccio
Peter was born in Massachusetts and was raised in Michigan. He is a graduate of Alma College in Michigan, where he carried a double major in economics and political science. He received his law degree from the University of Denver where he simultaneously earned a Masters of Law in Taxation from DU and the Daniels School of Business. While in law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Transportation Law Journal and clerked for a local criminal attorney. He is lead attorney in the Firm’s HOA practice and frequently does educational training for our HOA clients as well as representing THS with the CAI (Colorado Association Institute) Pete also serves as the Firm’s representative with NARPM (National Association of Residential Property).

The instructor Suzanne Leff is one of Colorado’s foremost attorneys for community associations. This presentation is chock full of down-to-earth information on how to handle difficult situations in community associations not often seen in text books, but experienced by Community Association Managers, landlords, brokers and their attorneys every day.
A wide variety of subjects are discussed, including reviewing accommodation requests for visible and not obvious disabilities, emotional support animals, fence-climbing autistic children, and medical marijuana. Attention is also given to avoiding intentional and unintentional violations of race as a protected class and the do’s and don’ts of restrictions on children and families who benefit from familial status protections. Special situations, like the obligations of an HOA in neighbor-to-neighbor disputes and harassment, are covered too in this very practical course for managers and brokers.

Suzanne Leff is a partner at Winzenburg, Leff, Purvis & Payne, LLP. She provides general counsel to community associations, and focuses on general business representation, document drafting and interpretation, contract review, covenant enforcement, and governance practices. She presents educational seminars to property managers, board members, and other attorneys who work with community associations. Suzanne writes articles for the firm's blog on topics such as changes to legislation affecting community associations, fiduciary duties of board members, the practical application of laws affecting associations, and alternative dispute resolution. She works on legislation impacting associations as a member of the Community Associations Institute's Colorado Legislative Action Committee.Suzanne received her law degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder School of Law, where she served on the Board of Editors of the Colorado Journal of International Environmental Law and Policy.
